Your personalized treatment session begins with a facial analysis to ensure you obtain the maximum benefit from your treatment. Next, prepare to unwind and relax with a total rejuvenation and energy balancing massage, followed by activation of specific, targeted acupressure points on the face to stimulate the body’s natural muscular release and collagen repair.
The massage continues with advanced friction movements applied all over the face and neck with varying degrees of pressure, which are designed to promote increased blood flow and cell renewal of the skin. The motions help detect areas of deep tension and encourage habitual facial expressions to be released. 
Finally, your therapist will focus on one side of your face, applying careful Ayurvedic smoothing techniques, which remove dead skin cells and ‘iron out’ fine lines and wrinkles. 
Deeper techniques release the connective tissue of the dermis and lift the underlying facial muscles, allowing freedom in the facial expressions and restoring your youthful, beautiful appearance. The session finishes with lymphatic drainage, scalp massage and total relaxation grounding techniques.

Holistic treatments such as Natural Facelift Massage are wonderfully relaxing. Having the treatment from the comfort of your own home allows you to experience the maximum benefits and relaxation from the treatment, as you can avoid the usual stress of re-entering the hectic, busy world, travelling by public transport, driving home, etc. Additionally, many people feel that receiving an in-home treatment offers a higher degree of comfort and privacy.
In-home treatments can be booked at your convenience outside of normal hours. As my client, you will have superior flexibility to easily fit your treatments into your busy lifestyle at time convenient to you.

What should I expect during my first at-home treatment?

You do not need to provide anything, as I bring all the necessary equipment (portable massage table, towels etc.) with me. If you would like to use your own towels, I will need two large and 1 small towel. I carry very relaxing music CDs or digital with me, so you can relax and enjoy.
Before your appointment, ensure that you have a private, quiet room that has a temperature you feel comfortable in. Please take a shower (if treatment requires such) and wear comfortable clothes.
When I arrive to your appointment, I will need 5-10 minutes to set up all the equipment. At your first appointment a consultation will be necessary to establish your suitability for the treatment and discuss your needs/requirements. This usually takes 15 minutes and will require a form completion.
After the consultation I will leave the room to wash my hands and to allow you sit-up onto the portable massage table provided. You may have the treatment fully clothed, as only your face and neck will be treated. You will lie down on the massage table face up, cover yourself with towels and the treatment will begin.
During the treatment you are welcome to ask questions and give your feedback. If at any time you are too warm/cold, would like me to change the pressure, would like more/less focus on any area, please let me know.

How long does a treatment last?

After having a massage treatment most people experience a sense of profound relaxation and calmness, or feel revitalised and re-energised, depending on what the aim of the treatment was.
It is possible, however, to experience minor “contra-actions” after a treatment, particularly if you never had a massage before, or didn’t have a treatment for while.
Such contra-actions, or “healing signs” are a result of massage treatment increasing blood circulation and improving lymphatic drainage, which encourages more efficient elimination of toxins. Massage can also help to release deep-held negative emotions.
Some of the contra-actions include:
Headache
Thirst
Frequent urination
Feeling of tiredness or sleepiness
Heightened emotional state
This is a positive thing and a sign that all body systems are functioning more efficiently. It is very important to follow aftercare advice, rest after the treatment and drink plenty of water.

Are there any situations when the treatment is not possible?

I will not be able to treat anyone with an actively contagious condition such as: Cold, Flu, Pneumonia, Shingles, Impetigo, Boils, Ringworm (Tinea), Fungal Infections etc.
If you are on any medication or are being treated for a medical condition, please check with your GP before booking your treatment. Please check treatment information for a list of contraindications.
Treatment is not possible within 3 weeks of having Botox and/or facial fillers.
Please note that this is a professional therapy service of the face only. I will not proceed with a treatment in any instance of inappropriate behaviour.

What types of oils/creams do you use?

No oils or creams are used for the Natural Facelift massage treatment. Please let me know of any allergies/sensitivities in advance.

The muscles of the face differ from those of the body in that they are directly attached to the skin that covers them. This means that when the facial muscles sag, the skin attached to them sags too.
The overall effect of natural facelift massage has been described as a gym workout for the face but with deeply relaxing effects on the whole body. Just like going to the gym on a regular basis helps keep the muscles of the body toned, regular facelift massage treatments will keep the facial muscles toned.

Although a difference can usually be seen and felt after just one treatment, the effects are cumulative and work best over a full course of 6 treatments, followed by maintenance treatments.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel your appointment, please give as much notice as possible. Out of respect for my other clients and my ability to offer regular appointments, I kindly ask for at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Any cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will incur a cancellation fee.
